Before your session

Step 1

Before sessions, it is important to ensure that your student is in a quiet and (if possible) secluded area to reduce distractions and support concentration during the session.

Before therapy sessions, please make sure that Zoom is downloaded on the device you will be using for sessions. If you have not downloaded Zoom yet, please visit the following website to download the application onto your computer: https://zoom.us/download

Follow the prompts on the website to ensure a successful download. If you encounter any difficulty downloading Zoom please reach out to your therapist for support.

Step 3

Your assigned therapist will email a zoom link to you before your first session.
Click on the link under "Join Zoom Meeting"

Step 4

There will be a pop-up at the top of your screen.
Click the button that says "Open Zoom"

The waiting-room pop-up will notify you that you are waiting to be
let into the speech room

When you are admitted, press "Join with computer audio".

Step 7

When in the room, make sure that you are unmuted, and your camera is on.
If you are muted, or your camera is off, press the audio and video buttons at
the bottom.
